DOG REPLICA

This page presents some of the work and parts required to build a believeable dog replica for use in movies, film, television, and internet videos.

Finished Dog Form

Live dog images provided by "Zoobiquity"

First, we start with the picture and measurements of our live dog.  This is the dog we want to duplicate.

Next, we look through the dog forms that are available at Animal Makers.  The client sent measurements: 15" around chest, 13" collar to base of tail, 8" tail length, 2" nose length, 3" ear length, and 10" front leg.  The last measurement is a bit vague, but this is what we found:

Sorting through, we chose "Realistic Standing Terrier Replica Body Form" (#M2168A) which measures:  16" around chest, 12" collar to base of tail, 8" tail length, 2" nose length, 3" ear length, and 8-10" front leg.

Hair transfer and flocking have been applied in the pictures below.  The individual claws are being applied next, then this figure goes into the paint tent for highlights and detailing on the face and body.

Finished dog replica, laying on it's side, with flexible legs and body.
